Advertising Adultery

Adultery is often a marriage killer and yet it appears that NBC may soon be running an ad for an adultery website. (Reference)  I hate even to reference the article due to the chance of connecting people to the website.  I have know about the website for awhile, due to my following news articles related to marriage.  The owner actually tries to justify the website as a marriage saver and is married himself.  For some reason he never answered any question about what he would think if his wife used his website.  It does not take much of a leap that this is just a method of making money by playing to peoples weaknesses. Cohabitation: Or try it before you buy it…

Recently I was asked about good Christian books on cohabitation and my got reaction was to say the Bible.  The Bible is pretty clear that “a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:24) It does not say anything about a man and a women shall find an apartment and try things out. In some make-believe reality, you might be able to live together without sinning, but here on our fallen earth, I have yet to meet a couple living together that are not living together in sin. I remember how strong the urges were before I got married and that was with us living 45 minute apart, forget being in the same apartment. Continue reading
