Marriage Shouldn’t Be a Disappointment

A few weeks ago I was traveling with my youngest daughter and we stopped at Arby’s for lunch. On the way out, I overheard a worker talking about running into a friend from high school. The thing she said has been on my heart for this whole time. When the male friend asked if she was married, her response was, “Yes, I’m sad to say.” Continue reading

Our Divorce Didn’t Work Out

I recently read the story of Traylor and Melody Lovvorn in Stand Firm. Who Needs Marriage?

The November cover story of Time magazine asks “Who Needs Marriage?“. Albert Mohler in his blog has an excellent writeup on the article, “Who Needs Marriage? TIME Asked the Question — Do You Have an Answer?“. Instead of rehashing what he has already written, I’d suggest reading his article.

All Christians need to support marriage as not only a sacred institution, but as a central building block of our society. Kelly, my wife, sees first hands the results of the downfall of marriage in her work with teenage mothers in our area. “Marriage is meant to be so much more!”
